SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE RESULTS:  Moyvane gained a valuable two points in their Division 5 Senior County League Rd 10 game away to Ballyduff on Saturday last.  Ahead 2-4 to 1-5 at half time the Moyvane lads upped the pace in the second half to run out eventual winners on a final score of Moyvane 5-12, Ballyduff 2-11.  This victory secures Moyvane’s promotion to Division 4 next year so a big congratulations to the Team, Manager Diarmuid Fitzmaurice and Selector Micheal Walsh on this achievement.  Team and Scorers: Brendan Galvin, Denis Kennelly, William Madden, Conor O Flynn, Eamon O Flaherty, Shane Stack, Owen Stack, Donal Leahy 0-1, Ian McCarthy 0-2, Niall Sheehan, Brian Stack, Aidan Keane 1-3, Timmy Noonan 2-1, Cathal O Connor, Colin Enright 2-2. JUNIOR FIXTURE: Moyvane Juniors play their first North Kerry Intermediate Cup game against Ballyduff in Ballylongford on Saturday, October 3rd at 2.00pm.  Best of luck to the team, Manager Paddy Leahy and Selectors Paul Mulvihill and Timmy Kennelly.  As always fixtures cab change at short notice so keep an eye on Fixture Posters in the Village and in Moyvane GAA Social Media.

RACE NIGHT: Moyvane GAA would like to thank sincerely all who supported our recent Fundraising Video Race Night in Brosnan’s Bar.  We would like to our M/C thank Oliver Carmody who kept proceedings running smoothly, Ger Keane who provided the Races and Race Equipment, Tulsa Gleeson along with Eileen in the Printing Works for all of their work on the Race Book, Sean, Brenda and Kevin in Brosnan’s Bar for their help and lovely food along with Laura, Gavin and Shea who looked after the Tote.  Thank you also to all who took out Sponsorship and bought Horses for the Race Book and to all who participated in the Auction Race on the night.  Congratulations to Karena Shanahan who won the €100 prize for Best Dressed Lady.


Well done to the u14 girls who travelled to Castlegregory on Wed last and had a good win on a scoreline of 4-6 to 2-2 in the North Kerry League.The u8/10s continue to train on Fri evenings with Marguerite Lynch .

A play by Simon Mawdsley and directed by Merce Hobson will be performed at the Glorach Theatre, Abbeyfeale on Wednesday, September 30 and the weekend of October 2-4 next and then the following Friday and Saturday in St. John’s Listowel.  In this comedy thriller, three men make an audacious plan to rob a large Department Store.  The unlikely trio meet in a run-down basement flat to devise the most exciting thing they’ve ever done in their lives!  But when the wives get involved things start to go badly wrong…
