Moyvane Notes – 29th July, 2000

MINORS are playing Ballylongford in Moyvane in the North Kerry league on Thursday at 7.30pm. All players are asked to be in the dressing rooms at 7.15pm sharp.

Under 12 had a good win over Fossa in the County league. Final score Moyvane 4-16 to Fossa 2-12. On Wednesday they play Ballylongford in Ballylongford at 7.30pm. A bus will leave the corner at 7pm sharp.

Under 13 lost to Ballydonoghue in the county under 13 championship on Saturday.

Under 16 play John Mitchels in Moyvane on Monday night in the county league at 7.30pm.

Moyvane 2000 September draw will be held on Saturday night week with an Opel Corsa up for grabs. A member of the committee will be in the Marian Hall after Masses this weekend to collect money.

Householders are drawing home the turf. Hay making has seemed to make a revival this year due to its low cost production. A bale of hay cost just £3 whereas a round bale of silage costs £7 a bale to produce.

Cemetery Masses will take place in Murhur on Monday July 31 at 8m and Ahavoher on Monday August 7 at 8pm.
