Don’t forget the next school’s “Split The Bucket” fundraiser will be held this Friday May 3rd, live on Facebook. You will find buckets in the shops. €2 to enter.
MEETING
A very important public meeting will be held in the Marian Hall on next Wednesday night, May 1st at 8pm. Representatives of Eirgrid, ESB & KN will attend. As you know there will be huge disruption in the area for the next two years or thereabouts so it is in your interest to attend the meeting and have your say. Do not stay at home and complain afterwards. It doesn’t work that way.
ROAD CLOSURES FROM THIS MONDAY
R551 (Tarbert to Ballylongford) traffic light system in place. Please note the L1013 (Bog Road, Bog Line) from Tarmons Cross to The Cross of the Woods – this is a 24 hour closure from 8am on Mondays to 7pm on Fridays. The road is fully open at weekends. AONGHUS McANALLY CONCERT
A concert will be held on Tuesday, May 21st. Aonghus McAnally & guests Denice Doyle and Ivan McKenna will present a variety concert with a difference, combining song, music, humour and stories. Tickets available at both Churches and the Parish Office. If you would like to take tickets and posters to distribute it would be appreciated.
DEFIBRILLATOR OUTSIDE MARIAN HALL
On behalf of the local community, we would like to thank the Marian Hall Committee who funded the replacement of the defibrillator pads and batteries recently for the unit outside the Marian Hall. This life saving piece of equipment is available for use by the community in the event of a medical emergency. It can be accessed by pressing 0000 on the keypad.
