THOSE WHO HAVE LEFT US: Once again we have had to say goodbye to some Moyvane people. Kathleen Stack (Enright) of Enright’s Bar, The Hill and more recently, Church Road, Moyvane passed away on September 29. She was one of our senior citizens and was well looked after by her nieces, Anna, Ursula, Margaret , Kathleen  and nephew, Donal. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Willie Stack. Betty O’Carroll (Nolan) of Killelton, Ballylongford and Moyvane passed away on October 19. Betty, for those of us who are old enough to remember, her mother, Mrs Nolan was one of the teachers in the old school up the Glin Road. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Mossie and is survived by her daughters, Joan & Liz and their families. Breda Dore was our most recent death. After a very short illness, just three weeks, she lost her battle on October 29. Not married, she was Aunty Breda to a lot of people. She was a member of a very popular local family who are great supporters of everything local. Her father, Michael Dore died at a young age leaving his wife, Cis with ten young children. Cis later lost three of her family, before she left this world herself just over two years ago. Mike, Kathleen & John all died at young ages. Breda was a huge supporter of all the local lotteries and of course Moyvane Bingo and she was lucky. She rarely missed a night and sat in the same place every week, beside the heater at the back of the hall, in the middle of the many other members of the Dore family.  She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Hannah, Mag, Noreen, Mary, Teresa and her brother, Jeremiah. Special word of sympathy to her sister, Mag, and her daughter Noreen and son James who spent every Summer here in Moyvane and were unable to travel from New York for the funeral. Breda was just 63 years old. May they all rest in peace.
