GAA
The Seniors had a good win over Fossa in the Novice championship last weekend. This was anything but a convincing performance but in championship games only the result is important. Eddie Bowler was our scorer in chief finishing with a total of 2 – 6 to his credit. Conor Flynn chipped in with 1 – 1 and D.J.Mulvihill completed the scoring with a well taken point. Final score was Moyvane 3 – 8 to Fossa 1 – 6. It took us a long time to finish them off. Moyvane will have to be a lot sharper next Saturday night when they play Brosna in the County league. That game will be in Clounmacon at 8pm.
Moyvane Juniors played a hard earned draw with Ballyheigue in the Urban league on Friday night. That point puts them into the semi-final. They still have to play Duagh this Friday night at 8.00pm. Venue to be clarified. The under-14s play Finuge in the semi-final of the North Kerry league in Duagh this Wednesday night at 7.30pm. A bus will leave the corner at 6.45sharp. The minors will be starting their summer County league on Friday, July 9. More details next week. The under-16s play St. Mary’s in Knockanure at 7.30pm. Supporters intending going to the Munster Final should order their tickets as soon as possible so the we can find out how many are required.
