Bingo:
Now that the long nights are here you could enjoy a night’s entertainment at Bingo in the Marian Hall. The prize money is good, there is €4,075 there to be won EVERY Thursday night. Bingo starts at 8.30pm.

Village Festival:
The committee of the Development Association would like to say a huge "Thank You" to everyone who helped to make this year’s Festival the biggest and best yet. Without you, the sponsors and you, the people who attended the various events this could not happen. Take a bow.
The village lights were organised by Eddie Sheehy and Jer Keane provided the street music. Pat Leahy, Mayor of Kerry officially opened the Festival on a beautiful clear night with lanterns floating into the night sky to celebrate the occasion and An Striolan Ceile Band entertained the crowd. The Inter Pub talent competition saw lots of local talent and Kearney’s bar won the Perpetual Trophy. Congratulations to Mairead & Toddy and all involved.
The committee, with FAS and the RSS members decorated the Marian Hall and created a festive theme for the Boro Buffet on Saturday night. Noreen Kennelly surpassed herself and served up the best meal yet ably assisted by the local ICA ladies and the junior committee. The Ritz in London couldn’t have done better! On Sunday the weather was kind to the Vintage Rally, which was by far the biggest to date. The new venture, the Craft Fair and Country Market, had over 25 exhibits, more than the committee expected. The first ever Dog Show organised by Anita Kardol had over 50 entries, there were canines of every shape and size enjoying the attention. The donations bucket was well supported by everyone and rightly so as the Kerry General Palliative Unit is a place that provides care and support in our own area which is so important. On Sunday night the concert in the Marian Hall saw an array of local talent that was mind boggling and once again it shows us that things haven’t changed and our young people are still out there ready to get involved locally and show their talents. Tom Moore acted as MC and entertained the crowd with his usual humour. On the night two special people were honoured for their high profile roles, Noreen McEvoy as President of the Kerry Federation of the ICA and Councillor Pat Leahy as Mayor of Kerry.
The Hunt on Monday brought out over 70 horses and again the weather was kind. The crowd had lots of entertainment on the day with Darragh O’Shea signing his book for fans in Brosnan’s Bar and the football match in the afternoon which saw a huge crowd turn out and again this event provided funds for a number of worthy causes, the  Nano Nagle School, Listowel, Kerry Friends & Parents Association, Listowel and the Shane Healy Fund, Glin. The weekend wrapped up with The Rambling House in Brosnan’s Bar.
Once again thank you all for your support, it is much appreciated. See you all again next year. If you or your relatives abroad would like to see pictures of the weekend log in to www.moyvane.com.
