Senior Badminton:
In their first match of the season, the Division 5 mixed team defeated Listowel 4-3 in Moyvane on Thursday last. The team was Crystle Crowley, Eleanor Sheehan, Francine Collins, Eileen Roche, Edward Stack, Maurice Cuddigan, Sean Pender and Padraig Hanrahan.
At the Graduates in Tralee on Sunday, Carmel Hudson won the Ladies Doubles Plate.
Juvenile Badminton:
At the Boys and Girls Doubles Championships in Tralee on Saturday, Moyvane players contested five of the six finals, a fantastic achievement. U12 girls Kelly Sheehy & Patricia Goulding were finalists. Aileen Kennelly was finalist in U14. Elaine Hudson & Denise Collins won u16. Boys u14 was won by Con Mulvihill & Aidan Kennelly, and Kevin Fitzmaurice & James Noonan were finalists u16. Well done to all.
North Kerry Championship:
Finuge defeated Beale in the semi-final of the North Kerry Championship on Sunday last in Ballylongford. Finuge have now qualified for the North Kerry Final against Castleisland

The marriage took place of Bobby Stack, Murhur and Joan Horan, Dooncaha, Tarbert at St Mary's Church Tarbert on Friday last. The reception was held in the Lanterns Hotel.

Deaths:
The death took place recently of Richard (Dick) Stack, Gaoraville, Moyvane South, Moyvane. He was 81 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Friday last. He was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Saturday. He is survived by his wife Sheila, son Richard, daughters Mary, Majella, Kay, Brid and Julia, brother Tom, sisters Sr. Dymphna and Bridie, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law relatives, neighbours and friends.
The death took place recently of Timmy (Tadie) Guiney, Moyvane South and Bridge Road Listowel. He was 86 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Sunday last. He was buried in Murhur Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Monday. He is survived by his sister Noad, relatives, neighbours and friends.
