Race Night:
Moyvane GAA would like to thank everyone who supported their recent fundraising video racenight which was held in Brosnan’s Bar.  Thanks to all who sponsored advertisments, bought horses and contributed to the auction race.  A huge Thank You to Tom Moore who was an excellent MC.  A great night was had by all.

Céilí – West Limerick Set Dancing Club:

West Limerick Set Dancing Club will hold a set dance céilí on Sunday Oct 5th at 4pm in Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale. Music by The Davey Family Ceili Band. Teas, etc. served ..all welcome.

Moyvane/Knockanure Liturgy Group:
If you want a voice in the running of the Parish it would be in your interest to attend a meeting at the Presbytery on Wednesday, October, 1 at 8pm. Fr Lucid is requesting all parishioners from Knockanure and Moyvane to become involved in the Liturgy Group as requested by Bishop Murphy. You are urgently asked to attend.

Annual Church Gate Collection:
The annual church gate collection for Murhur National School, Moyvane takes place next weekend October 4 & 5 before all Masses, your support is much appreciated.

A dance will take place at Knockanure Community Centre on Friday, October 3 at 9pm. Music by Stevie Donegan. Tickets €7.

Active Retirement Day:
An active retirement day will take place in Knockanure on Monday, October 13. If attending please ring the office on 068 49799 between the hours of 9.30 am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday. Aerobics/Yoga Classes:
Aerobics & Yoga classes will commence at Knockanure Community Centre on Wednesday evening October 1 at 7.30pm-9.30pm . All are welcome.

Brainwave, The Irish Epilepsy Association:

Singing Classes:
Singing classes with Mary Mulvihill will begin in Sheehan’s Thatched House Finuge, on Tuesday, September, 30 from 5pm to 6pm for the next 12 weeks. New members may enrol on the night, for further info contact Mary Mulvihill on 087 6228766.

Féile Lios Tuathail:
Féile Lios Tuathail will take place in Listowel from October 3rd to 5th. This weekend of traditional Irish music, song & dance will feature workshops in musical instruments and singing on Saturday, October 4. To book for the workshops tel. (068) 22212.

Bereavement Support Group:
A meeting of the Ballydonoghue bereavement support group will take place on Tuesday, October 7th from 8 to 9pm in Ballyloughran Leisure Centre, Ballydonoghue. The support group is for anyone whose lives have been touched by bereavement either recently or in the past, and are trying to come to terms with their loss. The support group is totally confidential and free of charge and is a safe place where you can share your experience with other people who really understand how you feel. The death has taken place of Joe O’Flaherty of Lyreacrompane & Abbeyfeale. He was a nephew of Nora Kennelly of Leitrim East. Sympathy is extended to Nora and his cousins who live in the parish. Sympathy is also extended to Ger Kennelly, son of John Joe Kennelly of Lacca, Lisselton and the Mulvihill family on the death of Josie Mulvihill, Kiladogue, Tarbert.
