Moyvane Notes – 30th June 2014

BINGO:
Apologies to all of you for the cancellation of last Thursday night’s bingo. As a mark of respect it was uavoidable. Bingo and Blotto will be held as usual this Thursday night. The Blotto Jackpot is €12,500.

LADIES FOOTBALL:
The u12s travelled to Spa on Thursday last. It was a very exiting game with the final score being 3-02 to 2-02. Well  done to all  concerned. This week they will find out who they play in the semi-final. The u16s were away to Kilcummin/Listry on Thursday also and they too had a good win, the fanal score being 7-01 to 2-02. Castlegregory is next on the list this week for the last game in the Group. The Club is holding a variety concert on Sunday, July 13 in the Marian Hall at 8pm where the girls will get an opportunity to show off their other talents, music, song and dance. There is an old and  used clothes collection on Saturday, July 26 at the Community Centre before 11am so start collecting  please. You can also drop bags on Friday evening between 6.00 and 8.00pm. All proceeds go to running of the club.
 
Community Games:
The girls u15 badminton team will represent Kerry at the Munster Finals in University of Limerick on Saturday, July 5th. Good Luck to all.

PLAYGROUND:
Moyvane Playground Committee held the draw on Wednesday to chose a child from the parish to cut the ribbon on the opening day of the playground. The lucky young man was Joshua Nestor who won the draw. Thank you also to Michael Liston representing Newtownsandes Creamery who did the draw.

Active Retirement: 
ext “Active Retired Day” is a week early this month. It will now take place on Monday, July 07. Come and enjoy a hot meal followed by music and dance for just 10. All welcome. If attending please ring office on 068 49799. New members especially welcome.
