Moyvane GAA:
U16: Congratulations to the Moyvane U16 team and their mentors Joe O’ Keefe, Johnny Stack and Michael O’ Connor, who became County League Division 7 champions for 2010 after a convincing win over Beale in the Final on Wednesday, August 25th in Ballylongford.  Moyvane were always in control of the game, leading at half time 1-6 to 0-4, and scoring 3 goals in the second half to end the game on a final score of Moyvane 4-8, Beale 1-7.  Team Captain Brendan Galvin accepted the trophy for County Board Co-ordinator Mike Hussey.  Moyvane Team and Scorers: Brendan Galvin (Captain), Michael Moore, Gerard Dowling, Aidan Enright, Edmund Sweeney 0-1, John Finucane, Timothy Noonan 0-4, Shane Stack 0-1, Thomas Quinn 1-0, P.J Stack 0-2, Liam O’ Connor, Con Mulvihill 2-0, Martin Stack. Minors: Best of Luck to the Moyvane Minor team and management who have reached the North Kerry League Division 2 Final against Beale.  The game will be played on Thursday, September 2nd at 6:30pm in Coolard.

Seniors: Moyvane are away to Na Gaeil in Round 9 of the County League on Saturday, September 4th at 6:30pm.

Race Night: Moyvane GAA Club will hold their annual video race night in Brosnan’s Bar on Thursday, September 16th at 9:30pm.  Everyone welcome.

Moyvane /Knockanure Youth Club:
Teens need Youth clubs!! Youth clubs need Leaders!! Youth club will start again shortly and we are looking for some volunteers to be Youth Club Leaders. If you are over 21 and wouldn’t mind giving up approximately one Friday evening a month, please come along to the leader’s meeting on Monday, September 6th in Moyvane Community Centre at 8pm. All necessary training will be given.

Knockanure Community Centre:
Aerobic classes will commence at the Centre on Wedesday, September 1st at 8pm. The next active retirement day will take place on Monday, September 6th. The Committee of Knockanure Community Centre would like to thank Leo Finucane for the use of his Tent on Vintage Day and also to thank all who donated cakes on the day.

Congratulations to Jody Fitzmaurice who scored a hole in one at Ballybunion golf course last week. Well done Jody, it doesn’t happen every day.
