MARIAN HALL BLOTTO RESULTS: There was no winner of the £1,400 Jackpot in last Thursday night’s draw. The winning numbers were: 10, 11, 14, 18. This Thursday night’s draw will be held at Bingo in The Marian Hall and the Jackpot will be £1,500.

Trip to Galway Races – Congratulations to Brigid Culhane, Killeaney, Glin on winning four days all expenses paid at Galway races. 2nd prize of £200 was won by Kit Horan, Aughrim and 3rd prize £100; John O’Connor Inchamore.

An item taken from the Moyvane Notes which appeared on the 1st August 1959. History of Newtownsands Co-op in 1895, Fr Matt Dillon P.P. donated site for the building of the Creamery.

One of the early managers was Tim Reidy, Ballymacelligott. First dairymaid was Mrs Kearney, Moyvane Village other staff included Billy McGrath, Claar, Michael Stack, Kilflynn Fireman, and M.J. Nolan, Chairman.

The Kerry Branch of the National Council for the Blind thanked the collectors and all who contributed to their Church gate collection. The amount collected was £193.85.

A celebration party for Cllr. Pat Leahy will be held at Hanrahan’s Bar this Sunday.

A meeting of Kerry Parents and Friends of the Mentally Handicapped will be held at Joe’s Bar on Tuesday night August 3, at 8 p.m. sharp. If you would be interested in helping this wonderful cause we would very much appreciate your attendance and your ideas to continue raising funds for the above society.
