BOOKING

COMHALTAS

The following competitors were successful in the Munster Fleadh Ceoil and go forward to the All Ireland Fleadh Ceoil. Newly Composed Ballads Dan Keane, 2nd; English Singing 15-18, Tara Mulvihill, 2nd; Tin Whistle Slow Airs, Kieran Flavin, 1st; Tin Whistle, Kieran Flavin, 2nd.

GAA

Moyvane lost to Churchill in the County league last Sunday. This puts a damper on our promotion prospects. We will have to get back into the winning grove again straight away.

Juniors: Team lost to Ballyduff in the North Kerry Intermediate championship last week after a very good game in Tarbert. Two late goals clinched it after a well contested game.

Minors: Moyvane had a good win over St. Senans last Thurs. night in the North Kerry league. This Thursday they play Ballydonoghue in Clounmacon at 7.30pm.

U-12: Moyvane play Tarbert in Tarbert in the North Kerry league on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Bus leaves the corner at 7pm.

U-14: Moyvane had a fantastic win in the final of the North Kerry league last Tuesday. Final score was 1-12 to 0-6.

U-15: Moyvane play Firies in the County Final on Friday in Austin Stack Park at 7.45pm. Bus leaves the corner at 6.45pm.

COURSES

Children will be able to learn computer skills with a series of classes about to start at Tarbert Access. Classes will be held for children, 5-12s, during July and August, covering the internet, PowerPoint and Pal Talk. Classes run from August 3-16, 9-13 and 16-20, 10am-noon daily. Contact the IT Centre, Tarbert on 068-36939.

MEETING

A meeting of Moyvane Development will be held on Tuesday next August 3 at 9pm in the Marian Hall.

WEDDING

The marriage took place recently of Fergus Kennedy, Main Street, Moyvane and Catherine Lillis, Athea at Athea Parish Church. The Reception was held in the Muckross Park Hotel, Killarney.

AWARDS

Two Moyvane Brothers received soccer Player of the year awards on Friday last. Kieran Sheehy won the player of the year for the U-14s and Martin Sheehy won the player of the year for the U-10s. Niall Sheehan also won a medal. Limerick FC manager Mike Kerley presented the awards to the players.

MASSES

The Annual Cemetery Masses will be celebrated on Monday August 2 at 8pm in Ahavoher Cemetery.

Tuesday August 3 at 8pm in Old Knockanure Cemetery.

Wednesday August 4 at 8pm in Murhur Cemetery. In preparation parishioners are requested to attend to their family graves.
