Moyvane Notes – 31st May, 2005


  GAA NOTES :
SENIORS   Moyvane play St. Senans in the County league on Sat. night at 8pm. in Mountcoal.   This is a vital game for our lads as we need to get a good result to keep our momentum  going.

JUNIORS   Moyvane lost to Clounmacon on Fri. night last in the Junior league.   We now are going to find it very difficult to reach the play-off stages.  Final score Moyvane 0 – 6 Clounmacon 1 – 4.  They play St. Pats next week players are asked to check posters for definite fixture.


STAND    Roofing of the stand should be going ahead within the next week so again we ask people to be careful around the stand and please obey the warning signs.


UNDER 8 and 10    Training will continue for our U8 and U10 on next Tues. night at 7pm.  All players are asked to be there and enjoy their sessions. They are playing a lot of challenge games and doing very well indeed.


TEE SHIRTS   Moyvane G.A.A. tee shirts are on sale from the secretary Teddy Keane at 15 Euro each.   So support your club and wear your colours at get good value as well.

Moyvane  Development Tidy Towns Association A village clean up will  take place on Wednesday night, June 1st at  8pm. All  welcome to participate. Adjudication can take place any time in  June /  July. A meeting of the Moyvane Development Tidy Towns  Association will take place on tuesday next June 7th at 9pm in the Marian Hall


Citizens Information Centre  every Friday 9.30am to 1pm in Tarbert IT Centre.  Commencing  June 10th 2005.


Procession of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in Knockanure on Sunday next June 5th at 3pm.


Death : The death took place recently of Maurice (Mossie) Bunce Barragougeen, Moyvane. He was 90 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Sunday, he was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Monday. He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Maurice, Mike, William, and Pat, daughters Margaret and Nora, brother Con, sisters Peggie and Nell, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
