MEET AND GREET
Pencil in Tuesday, September 22nd for a meet and greet gathering in the Marian Hall with our new Paris Priest, Fr Kevin. You are all welcome. He would like to see as many parishioners as possible and bring your ideas with you. It will begin at 8pm. There will be more details nearer the time.

MOYVANE PARENT & TODDLER GROUP
Parent & Toddler group returns on Wednesday, September 2nd from 10am till 12 noon.  €3 per family.  All children from birth to pre-school age are welcome. This is a wonderful Parent & Toddler Group and you should avail of it, your child will benefit no end.
SENIOR BADMINTON
It’s that time of year again, Badminton time. Just a message to all current and intending players, The Moyvane Senior Badminton Club will be back in action in The Community Centre on Monday and Wednesday nights at 8pm from Monday, September 7th. Doesn’t matter what level you’re at or if you’re a beginner you are always welcome so come along to the Community Centre and see how it goes. Moyvane is probably the most successful club in the County and you can be part of it.

MOYVANE GAA

JUNIORS: Moyvane lost out to Ballydonoghue in the Replay of the Division 4 Junior County League Final played in Ballylongford on Friday last on a final score of Moyvane 2-5, Ballydonoghue 2-10.  Well done the the players along with manager Paddy Leahy and selectors Paul Mulvihill and Timmy Kennelly on reaching the Final.

U21: Moyvane/Tarbert will play Dr. Crokes in Moyvane this evening, Wednesday September 2nd at 6.30pm in the U21 Club Championship Competition.

SENIORS: Moyvane are at home to Seem/Derrynane on Saturday September 5th at 6pm in a County League backgame.
LOTTO: There was no winner of this weeks Jackpot of €3,400.  Numbers drawn were 13, 18, 29 and 32.  Lucky Dips of €40.00 each: Maurice Kearney, Kilbaha, Pip Walsh, The Square, Listowel, Padraig Fitzmaurice, Aughrim, Frank O Mahoney, Coolkeragh, Listowel and John Chris Cunningham, Glin.  Next Weeks Jackpot is €3,600 and the draw will take place in Hanrahan’s Bar on Sunday, September 6th at 10pm.
RACE NIGHT:  Moyvane GAA are holding their annual Video Race Night on Thursday, September 17th in Brosnan’s Bar at 9.30pm.  Following on from last years success we are once again holding a Best Dressed Lady Competition at the event.  All are welcome for what is guaranteed to be a great night out.

LADIES FOOTBALL
The u16s are away to Scartaglen/Spa this week in the Semi Final of the County League. Well done to the five u12 girls who were part of the u12 North Kerry Develpoment Squad in Tralee for the last 5 weeks. Job well done by the Moyvane /Clounmacon senior ladies who beat Kerins O’Rahilly’s in the Mary Jo Curran competition on Thursday, August 14th in Tralee.

KNOCKANURE COMMUNITY CENTRE
Rambling House on Thursday, September 3rd at 9pm in Knockanure Community Centre. Everyone is welcome. Please come along and enjoy a great night of music, song and dance.  Admission free.  Refreshments will be served. Contact Ann Flavin at  086 3090948. The next social day for the Active Retirement members takes place on Monday, September 07. Music by Stevie Donegan.  Price €10.  All Welcome. DEATH
Dora Ahern (née O’Connell) of Kilbaha, Moyvane passed away on Thursday, August, 6th 2015. Dora was wife of the late Mossie and she is survived by her daughters, Eileen and Maria, grandchildren Tomasina, Darren and Aidan, brother John and his wife Pat, sons-in-law, nieces and nephews. Requiem Mass was held on Monday, August 10 in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane with   burial afterwards in  Ahavoher Cemetery.
