MARIAN HALL BLOTTO:
There was no winner of last Thursday night’s Jackpot. Numbers drawn were: 10   15  29   32. MOYVANE SENIOR BADMINTON:
Timmy Hanrahan won the Division 3 Plate at the Kerry Singles championships.
The Tarbert Comprehensive u16 school team were unlucky at the Munster Finals. Although they won all their games, they lost on points. Moyvane players on the team were James Flaherty and Liam Greaney.
Next Friday night the Kerry Table Quiz will be held in O’Donnells, Mounthawk. The club is expected to have at least 4 tables so all members and friends should try to be there at 8pm.

MOYVANE/KNOCKANURE COMMUNITY GAMES:
Well done to Emily Shaltz on competing in the Solo Singing in Abbeydorney on Sunday.
Next Saturday, February 8th Moyvane will host the Kerry u15 Badminton Finals in the Community Centre. Moyvane /Knockanure have both  Boys and Girls teams competing.
On Sunday, February 9th the Boys u10 indoor soccer team will represent the parish in Listowel at 2pm. Check in is at 1.30pm. Best of luck to all.

LITURGY GROUP AGM:
The AGM of the Parish Liturgy Group and Parish Pastoral Council was held on Tuesday, January 28th in The Marian Hall.  The following officers were elected:  

  • Chairperson, Margaret Carmody.
  • Vice Chairperson, John Corbett.
  • Secretary, Margaret Horgan.
  • Assistant Secretary, Jacqueline Stackpoole.
  • Members elected onto the Finance Committee were, Andrew Rogan and Noreen Roche.  

Any parishioners who would like to help out in the parish please come along to the next meeting on Tuesday, February 11th at the Presbytery 8pm.

CHIROPODIST:
Chiropodist will attend in the Marian Hall on Thursday, February 6th.  For booking, please contact Eileen Quinn at 49472.

KNOCKANURE COMMUNITY CENTRE:
The next social day for the Active Retirement Group takes place on  Monday, February 10th.  Come and enjoy a hot meal followed by music and dance for just €10.   All welcome.  If attending please ring office on 068 49799. New members especially welcome.

INFORMATION OFFICER:
Information Officer (Philomena) will attend Knockanure Community Centre, every Monday (except second Monday of each month) from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.  You can get information on Farm Assist, Social Welfare, Medical Cards and much more. The service is free and confidential.

GET FIT:
Commit to Fit for 2014. Get in shape and feel great every Thursday at 8.30 pm in Knockanure Community Centre.  All levels welcome. Ring Maggie at 0879866533.

FUNDRAISER:
Please support the Valentine’s Ball at Woodlands House Hotel on Friday, February 21st. Music in hotel foyer, four course meal with complimentary wine, followed by dancing to Limerick band Final Touch. Later, Disco by DJB. Tickets €50. Raffle on tickets for weekend hotel break and numerous other prizes. All proceeds on the night to go to Milford Hospice and Pieta House.
