Weather:
I know you are all sick of the weather but here are a few statistics for the past 7 days, June 25th to July 1st. We have had 2" of rain which is 257% of normal rainfall and 16.6 hours of sunshine which is equal to 49% of normal. June rainfall has been at it’s highest level in some parts of the country since 1955 while sunshine has been lowest since 1962. The figures are not surprising but it is now reaching crisis point in farming with land so wet that cows are being housed again and silage is being fed. Winters are now at least six months long from a farming point of view it’s becoming a disaster.

Tralee Red Cross:
The Tralee Red Cross youths are hosting their first "Fun Run Friday" on July 20th. Starting point for the 5km fun run is The Horan Centre Car park, Tralee at 7pm. Registration is from 6.15pm onwards. Entry fee is €10 or €20 for a family. Full medical cover.
