Moyvane Annual Charity Walk : This Year’s walk is in support of the Listowel & Districy Mental Health Association takes place on Sunday 25th of June at 7pm from the Marian Hall. This Association support people with mental health problems at St Senan’s day Centre and Writer’s Grove Residential Centre in Listowel. These are voluntary centre and need our support. Jobs Club : North Kerry Together Jobs Club is commencing a job seeking skills programme at IT Access Tarbert . If youare interested in updating your Job seeking skills please come along. The programme runs from 10am to 1pm daily for four weeks. The Programme is funded by FAS and North Kerry Together Ltd.
Jobs Seekers Course : Places are still available for farmers or members of the farm family who are thinking of looking for off farm employment. This course runs for 3 weeks, 3 hours per day. It will help you put your CV together, fill out application forms, write a cover letter and get that interview right. The course also includes basic computer skills. Deaths : The Death took place recently of Micheal (Michael) Mulvihill, Gortdromasillihy, Moyvane, suddenly at his residence. He was 72 years of age. His remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Tuesday last, he was buried in Murhur Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Wednesday last. He is survived by his wife Margaret, Sons DJ, Mikie, Mossie, Jackie and Brendan, Daughters Molly and Julia, sister Teresa, Brothers Donie, John-Joe, Brendan, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Micheal played in goals for the Moyvane Team in the early 1950’s, there was a guard of Honour provided by the Moyvane GAA Club on the night of his removal. Johnny Mulvihill gave a Graveside Oration on his life and achievements.

Her Remains were removed to Athea Church on Tuesday last, she was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Wednesday last. She is survived by her daughters Hilda, Peg, Siobhan, Rosie and Helen, sons Denis, Paddy and Sean, Brother, sisters, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved families.
