Moyvane Notes – 4th March, 2007

 

Moyvane GAA – Seniors:
Beale will play host to Moyvane on Sunday 11th March in the next round of the North Kerry League. Throw in is at 2:00pm.

Minors:
The minors are back in training and will shortly begin their North Kerry League campaign. Match details will be displayed on the fixture notices around the village.

Munster Vice Chairman:
Moyvane GAA wish to pass on best wishes to Seán Walsh who was elected Munster Vice Chairman on Friday 2nd March in Waterford. Many Congratulations Seán.

KDYS Listowel:
KDYS Listowel are holding their annual ‘Battle of the Bands’ on Friday 9th March at Listowel Secondary Presentation Convent between 8.30pm and 11.30pm. The entry is €5 and open to all teenagers. Seachtain na Gaelige sa Seanchaí, Lios Tuathail:

Seanchaí Literary Centre:

Fashion Show:
The Tarbert Comprehensive fashion show will be held at Kirby Lanterns Hotel on Wednesday, 7th March at 8pm. Tickets can be got locally from Ann Woods (49438) or Ann Flavin (49967). All are welcome.

Death:
The death took place of Marie O’ Callaghan at her home in Glin Road, Moyvane after a long illness. Marie, like her parents, taught at the local national school for many years. Her remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Tuesday last and buried in Ahavoher cementery on Wednesday. She is survived by her sisters – Nola (Adams), Glin, Margaret (Sheehy), Shanagolden and brothers – Thomas (America) and Colm (Moyvane). She was 60 years of age. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
