LADIES FOOTBALL:
John Mitchels proved too good for the u16 girls in the North Kerry, Division 2 on Wednesday, July 30th in Clounmacon. The Tralee side were stronger and the better team  on the night.  Beale are next in the County League Final. No date  confirmed yet. The u12’s play Spa in their Final in Ballymac on Monday, August 11th at 7.30 pm.

KNOCKANURE:
“Active Retired Day”  in Knockanure takes place on Monday, August 11th. You can enjoy a hot meal followed by music and dance. All welcome. If attending please ring office on 068 49799. New members especially welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT:
Knockanure Community Alert would like
to ask members of the community to report any unusual activity or strange vehicles loitering around the area. Please ring the Gardai at Listowel 21000 or call the local community alert number.  It is important that we all look out for each other.

WEDDINGS:
Congratulations to Anna Marie McEvoy of Aughrim and Michael  Flaherty of Glin who were married in the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane recently. Fr. Crawford of Glin officiated. Best man was Conor Flaherty and groomsmen were Gavin  Woods and Johnny Costello. Bridesmaids were Sinead Kearney, Caterina  Sheehan and Denise McEvoy. Flowergirls were Mikela & Sheena Mulvihill. Pageboys were Muiris Kearney & Ryan Sheehan. The bride is daughter of Noreen and the late  Denis McEvoy and the groom’s parents are Mike and Margaret Flaherty.
Noelle Clancy of Knockanure recently married Noel Devlin of Trillick, co. Tyrone in Corpus Christie Church, Knockanure. Noelle is daughter of Margaret & Nelius Clancy. Reception was held in the Listowel Arms Hotel.

PARENTS & FRIENDS:
The Annual Church Gate Collection for Kerry Parents and Friends will be held on Saturday and Sunday August 9th and 10th Your support will be much appreciated.

DONKEY DERBY/DOG SHOW:
Barrigone/Robertstown Community Group will hold a Donkey Derby & Dog Showat Barrigone, Askeaton on Friday, August 15th at 4pm. This is a great family day out so bring your dog or your ass or just come and have a look. For details contact Eric Fitzsimons at 087 9245100.

CAR BOOT SALE:
The monthly car boot sale and indoor market in aid of WL102fm community radio takes place on Sunday, August 10th at the Community Centre, NCW from 7.30am.N Your support will be greatly appreciated.
