Moyvane seniors lost to Tousist in the Centenary Cup last Saturday. They made the long trip to Lauragh but in the end came away empty handed. The concession of goals on either side of half-time did the damage but in true Moyvane fashion the team rallied and narrowed the gap town to three points and had Tousist under pressure.
There were great displays by William Madden, Padraigh Fitzmaurice, D.J. Mulvihill and John J. Mulvihill. The forward line of Cathal O’Connor, Maurice Kearney and Eddie Bowler kept Moyvane in the game. The encouraging thing for Moyvane was that for the second week in a row we scored 0-14. Final score Moyvane 0-14, Tousist 3-8. Next week the team plays Desmonds in the North Kerry league. Venue and date will be clarified on local posters.
