Marian Hall Blotto:

Senior Badminton:
Congratulations to the Division 2 team on their 5-2 victory over Killarney at home on Monday of  last week. The team was Elaine Hudson, Carmel Hudson, Saorcha Fitzgerald, Timmy Duggan, Pat Kearney, Denis Buckley and Donie Enright. At the Division 3 Doubles Championships on Friday night Dermot Keane and James Sheehan were finalists and Eleanor Sheehan and Francine Collins won the Plate. At the Division 5 Doubles on Sunday Charlotte Fitzgerald, Michelle Corridan and Celia O’Grady were Semi Finalists.

Victim Assistance:
The Kerry Branch of Victim Assistance who offer emotional and practical assistance in relation to crime and victim of crime will attend an open meeting at the Marian Hall, Moyvane on Tuesday  March 12th at 8pm.  Everyone welcome.

Tarbert Comprehensive School:
The Parent’s Association of Tarbert Comprehensive School will hold their annual Fashion Show on this Friday, March 8th. A Wine & Cheese reception will kick off the event. The list of exhibitors is impressive, Listowel: Utopia, Everywoman, Dress 2 Impress, Tae Lane, Coco Kids & Perfect Pairs Shoe Boutique. Newcastlewest: Bella Solla, Kimono & Noel’s Menswear. Glin: Bride’s Boutique. Abbeyfeale: Ester’s & Annette’s. Tralee: Deb’s wear by Jasmine Boutique. Ballybunion: East 73rd. Jewellery and Accessories by Sinead Doyle. Men’s & Deb’s Wear will be modeled by the school’s talented transition year students. There will be a Raffle, Door Prize and Spot Prizes all for the only €10. Please support your local school.

Moyvane GAA:
Senior NKL: Moyvane lost out to Tarbert in Round 3 of the North Kerry Leagu,e Division 1A on a final score of Moyvane 0-5, Tarbert 0-13.  Moyvane do not have a NKL fixture next weekend.
Minor CL DIV 3A:  
Moyvane/Tarbert are away to Ardfert in Round 2 of the Division 3A County League on Saturday, March 9th. Check posters around the village and the Moyvane GAA Facebook page for the time of this fixture.
Membership:
 Club membership is now open at €40 for players and €20 for non-players.  Membership can be paid to any committee member.  Membership will close for 2013 on Friday, March 22nd, as members must be officially registered with Croke Park.
Scór na bPáistí:  
Best of Luck to Shea Leahy who represents the Club in the County Semi Final of Scor na bPaisti in the recitation category on Sunday, March 10th in Abbeydorney at 3pm.
Senior Scór: Congratulations to James Fogarty who was named North Kerry recitation champion in Senior Scór on Saturday last in Asdee. James will now go on to represent the Club in the County Final on Friday, March 15th at 7:30pm in Fossa.  Well done also to Liam Corridan who came runner up in the solo singing category.  Liam gave a great performance of "Bright Blue Rose" and just failed to get the nod from the adjudicators.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €11,200. Numbers drawn were 5, 10, 18 and 28.  Lucky Dips of €40 each:  Mary & Eddie Keane, Irremore, John Walsh, Glenoe, Billy Walsh, Moyvane, Jim Fitz Woodgrove and Molly Mulvihill c/o P. Sweeney.  Next week’s Jackpot is €11,300 and the draw will be held in Hanrahan’s Bar on Sunday, March 10th at 10pm.

Sympathy:
Sympathy is offered to the family of Kathleen Kennelly  nee Anglim of  Shanaway, Tarbert who died recently. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Dermie Kennelly of Leitrim East, Moyvane. She is survived by daughters Mai and Joan, sons, Con and Dan, grandchildren and extended family.  Requiem Mass for Kathleen Kennelly was celebrated at St Mary’s Church, Tarbert  with burial afterwards in Murhur Cemetery, Moyvane.
