Moyvane GAA – U12s:
Congratulations to the Moyvane U12 team who won the North Kerry Championship Final on Sunday last. St. Senans got off to a great start with two early points. Moyvane defended brilliantly with Martin Stack, Micheal Moore & Padraig Leahy outstanding. Half-time socre read St. Senans 0-3, Moyvane 0-0. Senans started the second half with another point to stretch their lead. Timothy Noonan opened the scoring for Moyvane with a point from a free. The turning point of the game was Edmond Sweeney's class goal. At this stage, the scores were level at 0-4 to 1-1. Then John Finucane scored a great goal and to finish the scoring, Micheal Woods scored two goals and a point. This was a great team performance. Scorers on the day were Micheal Woods (2-1), Edmond Sweeney (1-0), John Finucane (1-0) & Timothy Noonan (0-1). Well done to team trainer Mike Corridan and selectors Cathal Stack & Dan Stack.

U-13s:
Moyvane play Brosna in the semi-final of the North Kerry Championship on Sunday next. Venue to be clarified. The very best of luck to the lads and again, let's give them our best support.
Moyvane Development & Tidy Towns Association:
The Village Festival was once again a marvellous success and the committee members wish to acknowledge all those involved: Boro Buffet – our Chef, Noreen Kennelly, members of the ICA, the Junior Committee & FAS scheme members; Bazaar – our ticket sellers; Vintage – those who did the catering; Queen of the Boro – M.C. Joe Enright, the eight Queens & their Escorts, the three judges, Marie Walsh who donated all the sashes, our sound & lighting technicians, music by the Cili Band & All-Ireland winner Kieran Flavin, all who donated spot prizes, and to our many sponsors a big Thank You. We would also like to thank the GAA for organising the visit of Kieran Donaghy on Monday and DJ Declan at the Junior Disco. Committee meeting on Tuesday @ 7pm.
Anti-Social Behaviour:
A public meeting on anti-social behaviour will be held in The Arms Hotel on Thursday, 9th November @8.30pm. Simon Coveney, MEP, garda Mary Frensen, KDYS will attend and it will be chaired by Jimmy Deenihan.
West Limerick Set Dancing:
The West Limerick set dancing club are holding a set céilí in the Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale on November 12th @3pm. Music by Matt Cunningham. Social on Saturday, December 16th in Fr. Casey Centre, Abbeyfeale. Music by Tim, Joe & Ann. Tickets from Nora Murphy @ 069-76327.
Soccer:
Newtown Athletic travelled away to Spa Road, Tralee on Sunday and came away with a 2-0 victory. Two second half goals from Mike Kissane & John McGrath sealed the win. Every player played his part in what was a great team effort. The club, who are currently in the top half of the division, would sincerely like to thank the parish for their generous support in their recent Church Gate collection.
Moyvane ICA:
The annual Christmas shopping trip to Cork takes place on Wednesday, 29th November. The cost is €17. Book with Eileen Roche on 49337 or Marie Walsh on 49277.
Youth Club:
Youth Club re-opens Friday, 3rd November from 8pm – 10pm in the Community Centre.
Glin Day Care Centre:
The Glin Day Care Centre will be closed on November 16th. The next date for the Moyvane/Ballylongford/Asdee openday will be on 14th December. We apologise for any disappointment and look forward to providing the group with an extra special day on this date.
Kerry General Hospital Mass:
There will be a Mass on Monday, 6th November @ 7.30pm in the hospital chapel of Kerry General Hospital, Tralee for all those who have died over the past year and their relatives.

Anyone interested in taking part in Scór na nOg is invited to come to the Marian Hall on Wednesday, 8th November @ 7.30pm.

The death took place of Batt Bub Flavin, Treein, Kilmorna. He was 89. He was buried in Ahavoher cemetery.
