Bally/Asdee dominated the play for the next 10 minutes adding two goals and two points, Moyvane closed the gap to two points finishing with a half-time score of 2-4 to 1-5 to Bally/Asdee.The second half started with some even exchanges from both teams however after 12 minutes the game changed following a diagonal ball into the Moyvane square which was being fielded by the goalkeeper and at the same time was fisted leaving goalkeeper and ball in the net, after a short word with the umpire the referee allowed the goal to stand. Moyvane were now five points down. For the remainder of the half Moyvane dominated the play but with Bally/Asdee defending well they found it hard to score, missing a number of chances. With five minutes to go and four points down the ball was fielded by Colin Enright on the 13 meter line and beating two defenders kicked a powerfull left footed shot giving the goalkeeper no chance. With two minutes remaining Moyvane won a free on the left wing 35 meters from goal which was converted by Gavin Kennelly levelling the game. At the end of normal time the score was 3-6 to 2-9. In extra time the only score came following a fast passing movement when Colin Enright pointed for Moyvane leaving the final score at 2-10 to 3-6 to Moyvane. A strong team performance and a special mention for the young players who all played very well, especially Tadhg McEvoy who stood out on the day.
