- Mary Bridget Leahy, Clounbrane (daughter of Mary & Pat Leahy) and Joseph Curtin, Listowel Road (son of Mary & Chas Curtin) were married in The Church Of The Assumption, Moyvane last Friday. Reception was in Kirby’s Lanterns Hotel, Tarbert.
- Mairead Curran & Niall Murphy were married in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymacelligott also on Friday. Ballygarry House Hotel was the venue for the reception. Mairead teaches in Murhur National School.
- On Saturday, Breda Murphy, Lixnaw & Jonathon Stack, Tarbert were married in Lixnaw with the reception in Ballyroe Hotel. Breda works locally.

With a great display in both halves, Moyvane always looked the stronger team and ran out eventual winners on a final score line of Moyvane 5-7, Brosna 2-11.
