GAA Seniors – Results:
Moyvane suffered two defeats last week against Ballydonoghue in the North Kerry League on Tuesday last and against St. Pats Blennerville in the County League on Saturday last.
Minor Fixtures:
Moyvane are at home to Finuge on Thursday July 10th at 7:30pm in the North Kerry League.
Junior Fixtures:
Moyvane play Listowel Emmets in Duagh in the North Kerry League Final on Friday July 11th at 7:30pm. Good Luck to the team and mentors.
Coiste na nOg:
U14: Moyvane had a good win at home to St. Senans on Monday last.
U16: Moyvane had a good win at home to Bally/Asdee in the county league on a score line of 1-9 to 0-6 on Wednesday July 2nd. Team and scorers, Stephan O Carroll, Paddy Greaney, Tadhy Finucane, PJ Reynolds, Conor Leahy, Seamus Lyons, James Flavin, Kevin Fitzmaurice, Timmy Noonan (0-1), Martin Sheehy (0-4), Thomas Quinn (0-1), James Noonan (0-4), Paul Kennelly. Sub: Shane Stack (1-0) for Paul Kennelly. Moyvane's next game is away to Beale on Wednesday July 9th.
Ladies Football:
U10: The U10 girls were out for the first time on Saturday with a fun blitz in Ballyrickard Pitch Tralee. The girls played 5 games and won 3 games so well done to all the girls and to their trainers Carmel Hudson and Eddie Bowler. We would also like to thank the parents who travelled. Training again on Thursday July 10th at 6.45 pm. Keep up the good work girls.
U12: The U12 girls will start their county league on July 18th we are at home to Laune Rangers. Training is on Thursday July 10th at 7pm. Good Luck to all the girls and their trainers.
U14: We were beaten by Castlegregory last Thursday July 3rd our team were very under powered with a lot of our players missing but we would like to thank the girls who did play. Training on Monday July 7th in Knockanure at 7pm also Listowel district training will take in Knockanure on Wednesday July 9th at 7.30 pm and girls are asked to attend.
U16: We played a very tough game against Abbeydorney last Monday June 30th which we won but it was great for our girls to play this sort of a game well done to all our girls. Training on Monday July 7th at 7pm and all girls must attend.
National Council for the Blind Collection:
The Kerry Branch of the National Council for the Blind will hold its Annual Church Gate Collection next weekend, Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July.
Knockanure Active Retirement Day:
The next Active Retirement Day in Knockanure will take place on Monday 14th July 2008. If attending please ring the office on 068 49799 between the hours of 9.30am to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. Senior Citizens:
We would like to thank everybody who so generously supported our Church Gate Collection. The amount raised was €934.
