Moyvane Development Association
Last week was a busy week in the village, there were people up ladders and buckets of paint everywhere. The watering trolly was up and down the street more than once every day. This Tidy towns thing is getting serious! Thanks to everyone for the effort. There are loads of litter bins around the place so don’t forget to feed them regularly. Let’s have zero litter for the judges this summer.

The death has taken place, in Spain, of Jim Houlihan who grew up in Lower Aughrim before emigrating to London. Son of John Houlihan, who passed away many years ago, and Mary Ellen Ahern, who died at the age of 99 a few months ago, Jim was a well known boxer as a young man. He was in his late sixties. Sympathy is extended to his brothers and sisters who live abroad and his cousins who live locally.
