Moyvane GAA:

Moyvane are the 2009 Intermediate North Kerry Championship Champions after a 2 point win over Clounmacon on Saturday last.  Moyvane got off the a good start leading 0-6 to 0-1 midway through the first half but Clounmacon didn’t give up and helped by a goal just before the break brought the teams level at half time 0-8 to 1-5.  The second saw the two teams trading scores until John Jack Mulvihill found the back of the net leaving Moyvane 3 points up only for Clounmacon to retaliate with another goal leaving just 1 point between the sides.  A Tom Keane point secured the win for Moyvane on a final score of Moyvane 1-13, Clounmacon 2-8.  Team and Scorers: Kieran Walsh, Oliver Carmody, Timmy Kennelly, Mike Woods, Kieran Kiely, Aidan Keane, Patrick Finucane (0-2), John Jack Mulvihill (1-2), Donal Leahy, David Moloney (0-1), Tom Keane (0-1), James Kennelly (Capt), Kevin Kennelly (0-7), Cathal O’Connor, James Flavin (0-1).  Subs: Cal O’ Flynn for Timmy Kennelly, Niall Mulvihill for David Moloney, Conor Leahy for Oliver Carmody.  Panel: Chris Foley, Kieran Lane, D.J. Moyvane/Knockanure Youth Club

Teens need Youth Clubs! Youth Clubs need leaders! The youth club will be up and running again shortly and your help is needed. If you are over 21 and wouldn’t mind giving up approx. one Friday evening a month, please come along to a leader’s meeting this Friday evening in the Marian Hall at 8pm. All necessary training will be given. Please support your community. 

Knockanure Community Centre:

Active retirement day next Monday October 12. If you would like to attend please contact 068 49799 between 9.30am and 1.30pm. Centre available for all occasions, christenings, birthdays, funerals etc. Basic & Intermediate Computer Classes and an introduction to Digital Photography will be held on Tuesday nights if there is sufficient interest. Workshop on Tinnitus:

A workshop on tinnitus will be held in Listowel Family Resource Centre, John B. Keane Road on this Friday, October 9th from 11am to 1pm. What is tinnitus?
