MOYVANE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION AGM
The AGM of Moyvane Development Association will be held in The Marian Hall on Tuesday night February 21 starting at 9pm. All welcome.

BADMINTON
Munster Graduates competition was held in Killarney last Sunday. Results: Ladies doubles winner Saorcha Fitzgerald and she was also Runner Up in the singles. Mixed Doubles Winner Timmy Noonan and he was also Runner Up in the singles. Senior Singles Runner Up James Flaherty.

LOTTO RESULTS: This weeks lotto draw took place in Speedys Bar, Sunday, February 05. Numbers drawn were: 11  20  21  28. There was no lucky winner this week! Lucky dip winners of 40 each were John Maloney, Murhur, Moyvane. Mike Hussy, Ballyduff. Hannah Enright, Enright’s Bar. Jacko Connor, Lower Aughrim & Ann Shanahan, Kilmorna. Next draw will take place in Enright’s Bar on Sunday, February 12th at 10pm. Jackpot €3,400. Tickets available from all local business’. If you’re not in you can’t win!

RESULTS SENIOR NORTH KERRY LEAGUE: Division 2, Round 1: Moyvane’s first game of the year ended in victory with a 6 point win over Duagh in Con Brosnan park on Sunday last. Two goals from Martin Stack saw Moyvane run out eventual winners on a final score of Moyvane 2-8 Duagh 0-8.
FIXTURES SNKL Division 2, Round 2: Moyvane V Ballyduff. Venue: Con Brosnan Park, Moyvane. Date: Sunday February 12th Time: 1.30pm. Let’s hope the boys will keep the winning streak going! Best of luck lads!
SCOR NA BPAISTI: Children from Murhur National School are currently in rehearsals for the North Kerry Scor na bPaisti finals which will be held in the Marian Hall, Moyvane on Sunday February 26th. Best of luck to all involved.
NORTH KERRY SCOR OFFICER: Congratulations to Moyvane’s P. J. Mulvihill who has taken on the role of North Kerry Board Scor Officer. We are sure that P. J. will excel in this role and we wish him all the best from everyone in Moyvane GAA.

MEMBERSHIP: Club membership available €40 for players and €20 for non players and students. Contact any committee member for same.
NATIONAL CLUB DRAW: Tickets are now for sale for the National Club draw which is run by Croke Park. Tickets cost €10 and are available from all players and committee members. We will once again be adding prizes for those who buy exclusively from Moyvane GAA. All money gathered goes directly to the Moyvane GAA club.
LADIES FOOTBALL 
Registration for Moyvane/Tarbert/Knockanure under 8 to under 16 girls football will be held in The Marian Hall on Sunday, February 5th from 12 noon to 1pm.
RATHKEALE & DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Next talk on Friday, February 10th at 8.30pm will be on “Irish Political Prisoners’ Memoirs During the 19th and 20th  Centuries ”  Speaker: William Murphy, History Lecturer in  Dublin City University. Venue: ARTS CENTRE, CARNEGIE LIBRARY, RATHKEALE. All are welcome. ADMISSION FREE.

RECENT DEATHS 
Mary Nolan (née Whelan) Glenalappa, Moyvane, pased away on January 21 following a brave and long battle with illness. A native of Sleaveen, Ballyduff Mary was predeceased by her parents Jeremiah and Hannah Whelan, her sister Eileen, and brothers Martin and John. She is survived by her husband Connie, brother Pat, brothers-in-law Billy and Con Frank Collins, sisters-in-law Violet and Moira, nieces and nephews. Mary was a quiet kind lady who certainly didn’t upset anyone in the parish of Moyvane since she married Connie. Requiem Mass for Mary was held on Monday, January, 23 in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane, followed by burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Kevin McNamara P.P. assisted by Canon O’Connor, Fr. O’Callaghan and Fr. McMahon.
Lily Mae Relihan nee Kennelly of Glenalappa also died recently in St. Albans UK.
Eamon Pelican passed away last week. From Moyvane South, Eamon had recently been resident in Lystoll Lodge nursing home. He was predeceased by his sister Tess. May they rest in peace.
