RECENT DEATHS
Mary Nolan (née Whelan) Glenalappa, Moyvane, pased away on January 21 following a brave and long battle with illness. A native of Sleaveen, Ballyduff Mary was predeceased by her parents Jeremiah and Hannah Whelan, her sister Eileen, and brothers Martin and John. She is survived by her husband Connie, brother Pat, brothers-in-law Billy and Con Frank Collins, sisters-in-law Violet and Moira, nieces and nephews. Mary was a quiet kind lady who certainly didn’t upset anyone in the parish of Moyvane since she married Connie. Requiem Mass for Mary was held on Monday, January, 23 in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane, followed by burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Kevin McNamara P.P. assisted by Canon O’Connor, Fr. O’Callaghan and Fr. McMahon.
Lily Mae Relihan nee Kennelly of Glenalappa also died recently in St. Albans UK.
Eamon Pelican passed away last week. From Moyvane South, Eamon had recently been resident in Lystoll Lodge nursing home. He was predeceased by his sister Tess. May they rest in peace.
