THE SVP Moyvane branch wish to thank everybody for the recent church gate collection.

Last Fridays nights fund raising was a very successful and enjoyable event. Congrats to Eddie Bowler on being selected as the Man of Match for the 2003 North Kerry Championship. This was announced at a recent function held in the Listowel Arms. There were many contenders for this prestigious prize but in the end the judges went for Eddie and a worthy winner he was. Also well done to the 8 lads Pascal Sweeney, Denis Kennelly, John Mulvihill, Tom Sheehy, Donal Kearney, Jackie Mulvihill, Cathal O Connor and Eddie Bowler on being selected on the North Kerry team of the championship. Avery enjoyable night was had by all. A presentation was also made to D.J. Mulvihill as team trainer and Thomas Keane as team manager.

The Community IT Access Centre in Tarbert is now enrolling in Computer classes for 2004 which includes beginners course, intermediate course, advanced intermediate, internet, email publisher, Sage City Guilds, ECDL, Payroll, Quick Pay, and Computerised Accounts for beginners. The West Limerick Set Dancing Club will hold a set-Ceili in the Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale this Sunday at 4pm. Music by Glenside Ceili Band. All Sets called.

The death has taken place of Mary Trant, Lixnaw formerly Stack, of the Hill, Moyvane. She was 80 years of age. She is survived by sons, daughters, sister Kathleen in Knockanure, Dolly in Tralee, and brother Timmy in England.

The past and present members of the Moyvane and Knockanure Youth Club thank Esther Foley, and Noreen O’Connell for their dedication and commitment to the running of the Youth Club for the past number of years and also thank Kit Horan for her excellent management of club finances.

The AGM of the Moyvane GAA club will take place on Friday, February 13 at 8pm in the Marian Hall. Members are asked to note the new date and all are welcome.

The North Kerry League is due to start this Sunday, with a game against Ballyduff in Ballyduff at 2pm sharp. All players are asked to be there in good time.

All players are asked to make sure they have themselves properly covered by paying their club membership before the first game.

The club asks our sellers to maker a big effort to push the Blotto sales.

Calendars are on sale by the players and in the shops and pubs at €10 each. Proceeds to the players holiday fund. Please support generously.
