THE death has taken place of Catherine (Kit) Keane, Clounprohus. Her remains were removed to Moyvane Church on Tuesday last. She was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery following Requiem Mass on Wednesday last. She is survived by her sons, sister, brothers, grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Moyvane seniors are playing St. Senan’s in the North Kerry league this Thursday night in Mountcoal at 8 p.m., and have already qualified for the semi-final so are playing for position in the table. Then on Sunday at 2 p.m., they play Dromid Pearses in the County league in Moyvane. Again this is a vital game as they are still in the promotion race for Division two.
The juniors are playing Churchill in the Urban league on Friday night in Churchill at 8 p.m. They are due to play Desmonds in the North Kerry league semi-final shortly.
Moyvane U-14’s qualified for the final of the North Kerry league which is being played in Tarbert against the winners of Ballylongford and Asdee next week. Players are asked to check fixture with their trainers. This is the first final this year.
Moyvane U-10’s play Knocknagoshel this Friday evening at 7.30 p.m. in Knocknagoshel. Bus leaves Brosnan’s corner at 7 p.m.
Moyvane U-12’s play Fossa in Fossa on Sunday night at 7 p.m. in the County league. A bus will leave the corner at 5.30 sharp. Then on Wednesday night they play Duagh in Duagh in the North Kerry league at 7 p.m.
Moyvane U-16’s play Scartaglin in Scartaglin on Monday in the County league at 7.30 pm. A bus will leave the corner at 6.30 sharp.
There was no winner of last Thursday night’s Blotto. The Jackpot was £1,100. The winning numbers were 7, 8, 22, 24. There were two match three’s and they won £50 each. This Thursday night’s Jackpot will be at £1,200. The committee of The Marian Hall voted sympathy to chairman Teddy Keane on the untimely death of his mother, Kit. Sympathy was extended also to her sons, Jerry, Brendan, Liam, Mike, P.J. and Eddie, her sister, brothers and all other members of the extended family.
