Congratulations to members of the Moyvane Junior team who were crowned North Kerry League Division 3 champions 2011. The final score was Moyvane 1-13 St. Senans 1-7. John Jack Mulvihill accepted the cup on behalf of injured captain Chris Foley. John Jack was also named Man of the Match. Well done to the team and management on this great win. Seniors Results: Moyvane were beaten by Ballydonoghue in the County League Division 5a Round 1 game played on Sunday last. The final score was Moyvane 0-8, Ballydonaghue 1-17. Scorers: Paddy Curtin 0-4, Mike O Connor 0-2, William Madden 0-2.
Fixtures: Moyvane Juniors are away to Beale in the CL on Friday, June 10th at 8pm.

Moyvane ICA:
Would you like to go to the Dublin Horse Show at the RDS? On Wednesday, August 3rd you can enjoy a day out with the ICA. Day includes full Irish breakfast, entry to the Horse Show, 3 course evening meal and cost of bus. Total package is €70. Bus will leave for Dublin at 7.30am. Active Retirement Day – Knockanure:

Irish Cancer Society:
The Irish Cancer Society presents Understanding The Emotional Effects of Cancer. A meeting for cancer patients, family members and carers. A presentation offering practical advice on understanding and managing the emotional effects of cancer, from diagnosis stage onwards. Meeting in Tralee on Monday, June 13th in The Carlton Hotel, Dan Spring Road, Tralee, Co. Kerry and in Cork on Tuesday, June 14th in the River Lee Hotel, Western Road, Co. Cork. Refreshments served at 6.30pm, 7pm meeting starts. Guest Speaker Dr. Sonya Collier, Principal Clinical Psychologist, St. James’s Hospital, Dublin 8. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. Market-Craft Fair:
A Farmer’s Market and Craft Fair will be held at the Bridewell Tarbert on Saturday June 25th, from 10:30am to 2pm. Table, costs €5.

Parish Fete:
Abbeyfeale’s first Parish Fete run in conjunction with St Mary’s Boys school will be held at Fr. Casey’s Grounds and Clubhouse on Sunday, June 12th from 1pm-6pm. There will be a Donkey Derby, Dog Show, Wheel of Fortune, and Lady’s Marathon with entrants running or walking around the GAA grounds and the back roads.  Face painting, guess the weight, pegs on a line, twister, jenga blocks, throw the welly and a talent competition with  entry fee just €2 featuring dancing, drama, bands, singing etc are just some of the items  planned for the younger members of the community.  Local auctioneer and youth club leader Jerry Flynn will conduct an auction of donated items.  Stalls selling cakes, plants, locally grown vegetables and jams, books and bric a brac will be located in the car park at the club with barbecued food, tea, coffee and goodies available in the Club house. Prayer Meeting:
On Pentecost Sunday, June 12th, Janice and Moss Carrig will hold a prayer meeting in the Blessed Sacrament Church, Abbeyfeale at 3pm. Everyone welcome.

Car Boot Sale & Indoor Market:
