Sports:
The primary school sports qualifiers for Athea, Moyvane, Knockanure, Tarbert, Ballylongford and Lenamore will take place in Moyvane GAA field on Wednesday May 9th at 6.30pm. All competitors are asked to be on time in order to finish with daylight.
West Limerick Set Dancing:
The West Limerick set dancing club are holding a set ceili on Sunday May 13 in the convent hall Abbeyfeale at 3pm music by Abbey Céilí Band.

Farming:
The silage making has commenced in the parish during the week. Turf harvesting is also in full swing in the parish. Sean Stokes Knockanure informs me that he cut turf month ago and has taken it home.

GAA Results:
Moyvane Juniors were beaten by Castleisland Desmonds on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-6 on Tuesday last.
The Juniors play away to Clounmacon at 8pm on Tuesday 15th May in their round 1 game of the Junior County League. Please check fixture notices around the village for any fixture updates.
Coiste na nOg – U12:
The U12 team lost to Beale in the County League on Sunday last. They play Spa B at home on Sunday 13th at 7:00pm.
U14:
U14 – The U14 team beat Castlegregory in the County League on Wednesday last. They play Gneevguillia in their divisional semi final on Wednesday in Moyvane at 7pm.

Deaths:
The death took place on April 28th in The General Hospital Tralee of Margaret Peg Carmody (nee O'Shea), Cuss, Moyvane and late of Clountubrid, Listowel. She was 93 years of age she was buried in Listowel cemetery following requiem mass. She is survived by her sons DJ, Gerard and Joe, daughters Marie and Kay.
The death took place of Mary Friend (nee O’Connor), London and late of Lisaniska who was buried in London.
