It was a busy weekend for the girls, starting with the u12s, who played Finuge/St Senans at home on Friday, May 3rd in torrential rain. This was a game of two halves with Moyvane eventual winners on a scoreline of 5-4 to 2 -10. Their next game is the last game of the preliminary rounds and this game is away to Kerin O’Rahillys. The u14s had another thrilling game at home to Beale in the Count League on Sunday, May 5th, winning by just one point, Moyvane 2-8, Beale 3-4. This is the last u14 game for a few weeks. Sympathy:
The death took place recently of Michael Greaney, of Leitrim Middle, and originally Castleisland. Mike came to live in Moyvane in the 1980’s and raised his family in the parish before moving to Listowel. He set up a thriving business, "Fastfix Doors", beside his home in Leitrim Middle. A pleasant, kind and helpful man who enjoyed life and whose family were his number one concern, Mike had no symptoms of illness up to a short time before his untimely death. He is survived by his  wife Betty, daughters Marguerite, Catherine, Lisa, and Noreen, sons Kevin and Thomas, sister Nora, and brother Jim, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and grandchildren. His Requiem Mass was celebrated in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane with burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery. Sincere sympathy to all his family.
