Moyvane Notes – 7th September, 2002

JUNIORS: Moyvane played an exciting draw with Asdee in the North Kerry intermediate championship on Saturday in Tarbert. This proved to be a great game with Moyvane leading for long periods but Asdee finished strongly and drew level in the final few minutes.

Club Draw: The final club draw took place on Saturday night last and the winners were: Mercedes car – Michael Shanahan, Rusheen, Ballylongford. E635 each: Sean Dwyer, Kilkeary, Nenagh, Denis C. Seniors: Moyvane play Skellig Rangers in the county league on Sunday in a vital game for survival. Players are asked to check local posters for definite fixture.

Under-14: Moyvane lost to Duagh in the North Kerry championship on Saturday last after a very good game. That finishes our year for the under-14 who had a very active time.

Under-12: Moyvane qualified for a playoff game with Tarbert in the North Kerry league after beating Finuge on Wednesday night last.

The marriage took place in Moyvane Church of Celeste Kearney, Kilbaha and Mark Mullane, Charleville, Cork. The reception was held afterwards at the Dunraven Arms, Adare.

West Limerick Set Dancing Club will hold a Ceili in the Convent Hall, Abbeyfeale, this Sunday at 4pm. Music by Taylor’s Cross.
