Village Festival:
Moyvane Development Association Village Festival takes place on October Bank Holiday weekend, Friday 25th to Monday 28th. This year there is a revival of the famous “Marquee Dancing” with The Kilkennys. This group is the new Dubliners and if you haven’t had the privilege of seeing them now is the time. For a preview check them out on “You Tube”. Boro Buffet number ten is on Saturday night and this is going to be the biggest and the best. See posters and local media for full details.
Creamery Social:
Time to party and celebrate another year of Newtownsandes Co-op. The venue is the Devon Inn and the date is Friday, November 15th. This is a special event this year to mark the retirement of Michael Liston who has retired as General Manager of the Co-op. To show the appreciation of the service he has given to the farming community a presentation will be made on the night. Tickets are on sale in the creamery office.
First Holy Communion:
First Holy Communion will take place in Knockanure on Saturday, May 10th, 2014 and in Moyvane on Saturday, May 24th 2014.
5K/10K Walk/Run:

North Kerry Eagles Special Olympics Club:
The North Kerry Eagles Special Olympics Club will hold its Annual Church Gate Collection this weekend Saturday, October 13th and Sunday, October 14th. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Red Haired Mary:
The Film will be screened at St. John’s, Listowel next Friday night, October 11th at 8pm sharp, with a local cast including the Pecker Dunne. All proceeds to Kerry Parents & Friends, Listowel. Admission €10. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Grow it Yourself:
Limerick West GIY, with the aim of inspiring people to grow their own food, is back indoors for the winter months as it returns to D & M Garden Centre, Croagh on Thursday, October 17th where the subject for discussion will be on Wild Foods along with all the usual topics. The meeting will start at 7pm sharp and all are welcome from the beginner to the experienced. As with all GIY meetings there is no charge to join in.
