Moyvane seniors gained 2 very valuable points from their final county league game away to Fossa on Sunday last. This 3 point victory ensures that Moyvane remain in Division 4 for the coming year. Fossa started the stronger team going into a 2 point lead but 3 points from Jackie Mulvihill saw Moyvane go 1 point up. Damien Flynn finished Moyvane’s scoring in the first half to leave Moyvane leading 0-4 to 0-3 at the break. Fossa only scored 1 point in the second half but Moyvane showed great determination and points from Brian Stack, Cal Flynn and William Madden saw them take the game on a final score of Moyvane 0-7, Fossa 0-4. Our local school is holding a Christmas concert in The Marian Hall on Friday, December 19th at 8pm. You had a preview of what’s to come at the concert during the Village Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children of the parish to showcase their talent and for us to show our appreciation. Please show your support by attending in large numbers.

Knockanure Community Centre:
Will hold a children’s Christmas Party next Sunday December 14th at 4pm. Santa will arrive at 4.15pm. Each child will get a photo with Santa and a giftbag followed by a Disco. There will also be a cake sale on the day. On Monday December 15th, Kathleen Barrett will hold a Christmas flower arranging demonstration at 8pm. Admission is FREE and a raffle will be held.
