Moyvane Notes – 9th March, 2002

CLUB draw: Ticket sellers are asked to get their receipts back and their numbers sorted out. Anybody interested in joining up can contact Teddy Keane at 49964 or 49101 or any committee member for any information.

The AGM of Moyvane Bord na nOg will take place on Friday night, March 8, in the Marian Hall at 8.30 p.m. Anybody interested in helping with the underage teams would be very welcome. Registration of all players from U-16 to U-10 will take place on Sunday morning at 12 noon. It will cost €3 per player for the year to register.

Team managers finalised last weekend are senior, John Moloney; junior Martin Sheehy; under 21 Paddy Mulvihill; minor Johnny Stack.

The death took place recently of Mary Carmody (nee O’Brien) Gortdromagowna. She was buried in Ahavoher cemetery, sympathy has been extended to the bereaved family.

At the AGM of Moyvane Tidy Towns the following officers were elected: chairman Seamus Roche; secretary Ursula Enright; youth offices Aine Cronin and Regina Jones. A committee of representatives from each organisation in the parish was also formed on the night. Members from the committee attended the Kerry CC Local Tidy Towns award in the Earl of Desmond on February 28, where we received an award as Best New Entry 2001. The Mayor of Kerry CC Paul O’Donoghue presented the award.

The AGM of Moyvane Fianna Fail cumann takes place on Monday March 11, in the Marian Hall at 9 p.m. All members are asked to attend.
