ONCE AGAIN we have lost members of our community. Since the beginning of 2022 we have, unfortunately, continued to say goodbye to friends and neighbours. Lila (Mackessey) Kissane, of Tarmons and Tarbert passed away on Friday, December 31, a lovely, lovely lady that spent many years at Moyvane Bingo.
Eilish Hilliard, nee Mulvihill of Leitrim East and Listowel left this world on Saturday, January 08. She was the sister of John Mulvihill, Leitrim East and youngest of the Mulvihill family.
On January 09 John Stack of Gale Bridge, a well known farmer in the area, joined his twin brother, Joseph, his sisters Joan and Noreen who predeceased him. John is survived by his wife, Mary , family Joanne, Johnny, Yvonne, Paula, Shay and Kevin sisters and brothers and extended family.
Mickey Flaherty of Woodgrove and Blaine, Athea passed away on Thursday, January 13, a quiet, friendly man he was predeceased by his wife, Kate.
John Carmody of The Hill, Miyvane died on Tuesday, January 18, a quiet man who loved farming he is survived by his three sisters, Lil, May and Noreen.
Tom Mulvihill of Lyrecrompane and formerly of Leitrim East passed away on Friday, January 21. He is survived by his wife, Lil, son John and daughter Joann. Paddy is now the only surviving member of the Mulvihill family. Sincere sympathy to all the relatives of those who have died this first month of 2022.
