BADMINTON
Division 5 Men’s League Moyvane defeated Listowel 4-0. Team: Merick, Padraig Hanrahan, Dan Browne and Micheal Nolan.
Division 2 and 4 Doubles Championship was held in Killarney last Friday night. Results:

LISTOWEL FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE
What is safe talk?  It is a one day suicide alertness programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources.  Who should attend safe talk?  This training is suitable for everyone who wants to help prevent suicide and is prepared to become a suicide alert helper. April 6th & 7th from 10am – 1pm. Call Toni 068-23584.

NEW TOASTMASTER CLUB IN LISTOWEL
If you would like to gain self confidence, self esteem and improve your ability to speak in public then you should check out the newest public speaking club in North Kerry.  The next meeting will be held in the Listowel Arms Hotel on Thursday, March 16th from 8pm to 10pm. There will be a green  theme to this night as it is the night  before St. Patrick’s Day. RATHKEALE & DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The next talk takes place on Friday, March 10th at 8.30pm will be on “THE 1641 REBELLION ”  Speaker:  DR. JACK FENNELL of University of Limerick.   He is a researcher specialising in literary history, popular literature and folklore. His book Irish Science Fiction was published in 2014 by Liverpool University Press. Venue: ARTS CENTRE, CARNEGIE LIBRARY, RATHKEALE. All are welcome. ADMISSION FREE.
